The King’s School is one of the oldest and most prestigious Schools in the country with an enviable record of academic excellence and achievement. Reporting to and working closely with the Premises Director (PD), the Operations Manager will ensure the smooth running of the Building and Maintenance team consisting of carpentry, stonemasonry, joinery, roofing, multi-trade and logistics.
The successful candidate will have experience working as a building professional at middle management level. Experience of working in a school environment will be advantageous but is not essential.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Monitoring, managing and co-ordinating planned maintenance activities and compliance works
• Ensuring all B&M staff adhere to Health and Safety policies and regulations
• Assisting the Premises Director in the development and coordination of the 10-year programme for all school buildings and staff housing
• Creating weekly and monthly KPI reports, supporting the PD with data analysis and taking appropriate action to ensure targets are met
• Assisting the PD with project budgets and monitoring of expenditure
This is a full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round.
