Systems Mechanics is a leading big data software solution provider to the Telecoms industry. We are looking to add another talented IT professional to our growing in-house development team. This is an exciting time to take a key role in our organisation that is rapidly expanding and offers a real differentiator to its customers.
Based in Whitstable, Kent, we have an immediate opening for a software engineer to join our expanding development department. We are a fast-growing Telecoms Big Data provider, looking for a person with a good degree who is seeking a challenging and rewarding career in software engineering.
The position is based in our ETL team, who provide our customers a real-time view of their networks by writing scalable software to ensure the efficient load of billions of counters a day. You will have an opportunity to see your work running on customer sites.
The position requires the following core skills/technologies:
o Java
o Linux shell/scripting
o IDE based development (preferably NetBeans)
Any of the following experience would be desirable:
o Maven
o Spring
o Agile / JIRA / Scrum / Kanban
o Red Hat/CentOS
o Mobile Networks (GSM, UMTS, CDMA or LTE)
o Unit testing and debugging
o SVN version control
o SQL
o up to 2 years’ commercial software development
