Your role as a Helpdesk Support Engineer will be based from our Canterbury Office, supporting businesses across Kent and South London.
Working with our established team the scope & responsibility of the role maybe expanded according to experience and qualifications.

The role is for a versatile support engineer, well versed with Microsoft workstation operating systems, Microsoft Office products, network cabling, printers, routers and general first line IT support. Training will be provided in procedures and routines.

The role will be based at our Hersden office covering the Support Desk during office hours, where a high standard of first line remote support is essential. Daily tasks include installing and configuring computer software, diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults, planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades, recording problems and their solutions for future reference. Attention to detail is essential.

Occasionally the candidate maybe asked to visit client sites to offer first line support, using a company pool vehicle, but this is not essential.

We would love candidates to be motivated, responsible individuals who can follow instructions and manage tasks within the operational direction of the business. The successful applicant will need to be considerate of clients' needs, polite and professional at all times.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate great communication skills to explain problems and solutions clearly to friendly, but non-technical users.

Ideally applicants should be able to drive (manual gearbox) and preferably hold a clean driving licence. Microsoft qualifications would be useful, but are NOT essential for the application; however the successful candidate will be expected to study for industry qualifications and must therefore be motivated to learn and quickly pass necessary exams.

This role offers a starting salary entirely dependant on qualifications and experience.
