Oakley College is an exciting new development in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells district, to meet the needs of young adults age 19-25 with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD). We opened in September 2018, are already proving successful and we are anticipated to expand and develop significantly over the next five years.
We are looking to fill this new role, which will be central to the future development of this much needed provision.
Oakley College provision arose out of, but is different to, Oakley School – the District Special School for Tunbridge Wells & the surrounding areas. The School took on the administration and site needs of the College during its first year and will continue to be available to support the new postholder.
We need someone who will thrive in this varied role, looking after all elements of running a small but growing enterprise; human resources, finance, facilities, administration, website and social media development etc.
Successful candidates will need experience of working in a busy office environment, have a can-do attitude and the ability to use their initiative, whilst keeping the College ethos, core values and learners at the centre of everything they do.
Experience of working in the education sector is not essential, but would be advantageous. What we need is someone with strong organisational, admin, IT and people skills with the confidence, drive, enthusiasm and resilience to do an outstanding job that really matters.
Visits to meet us are both encouraged and welcomed, please contact us by e-mailing sandra.wisdom@oakley.ac.uk
If you are interested in applying, please look at the College website for further information and how to apply https://www.oakley.ac.uk/staff-vacancies or e-mail sandra.wisdom@oakley.ac.uk Please note that we are unable to accept CVs.
Closing date is 5pm on Wednesday, 19th June 2019.
Selection Process/Interviews will take place on: Monday, 24th June 2019.
Oakley College is committed to safeguarding children and young people, a commitment we expect all staff to share and uphold.
