Culpeck –Become a Trainee HGV class 2 Driver/Warehouse Person.

Culpeck Floorcoverings is part of Headlam Group plc, the largest floor coverings distributor in Europe.

A vacancy has arisen within the company for a trainee HGV/Warehouse operative, based at our Strood depot.
To work within our busy warehouse, the successful applicant will be given extensive training including training on the use of electric forklifts. Furthermore Culpeck will fund the training costs for a full HGV Class 2 course for you to further assist our busy distribution department (Subject to minimum contract).

This involves multi-drop cover for holidays & sickness.

You must be aged 18+ and hold a current full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities For Both Roles Include:

• Assemble prepared orders ready for vehicle loading. This may involve repetitive handling/lifting of sometimes heavy and large items
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
• Ensure scanning compliance of all stock, with accurate use of the hand held terminal
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety
• Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements
Skills/Experience:
• Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not essential
• A FLT licence is desirable but not necessary
• Good standard of numeracy
• Ability to deliver good customer service
• Organised and able to work on own initiative
• Good understanding of written and spoken English
• Flexible work ethic
