FEMALE Support Worker

An opportunity has arisen for a Support Worker to join a small care team looking after a 6 year old boy who has cerebral palsy, communicates verbally and walks with support or uses a wheelchair.

He has a brilliant sense of humour and loves company, enjoys playing games, reading and playing as well as watching TV and playing computer games with his family. 

As part of the Support Worker role you will be required to provide personal care, help getting him ready for school, undertake therapy programmes after school, and accompany the client on activities at weekends, therefore a car driver is essential. 

Croatian is our client’s second language, so being able to speak Croatian would be an advantage, but not essential.

Hourly Rates

Monday to Friday        £12.00 per hour

Saturday & Sunday     £14.00 per hour

Bank holidays             £18.00 per hour

Support Worker shifts available:

Term Time

Wednesday                6.30am – 8.30am and 3.30pm – 7.00pm

Sundays                    8.00am – 3.00pm

                                               

With additional hours being available during school holidays.

Experience & Qualities required for the role:


A Support Worker who has experience of working with children with physical and learning disabilities.A full clean driving licence is essential.Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak Croatian would be an advantage.Commitment to assisting the client in engaging in leisure activities and hobbies.Understanding of the need for close observation at all times monitoring health and well-being.
