Job Title: Book Keeper
Responsible to: Chief Officer
Salary: £18,000 - £22,000
Working hours: Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm
Location: Sevenoaks Office

This post is subject to a DBS Check

Purpose of Post:
To be responsible for the day to day bookkeeping entries, including cash recording, banking, posting all entries to Sage Line 50 Accounting.

Key Activities:
Maintenance of all Cashbooks and primary accounting records in conjunction with other relevant staff.
Liaison with the organisation’s 3rd Party Payroll provider. Extracting information required for monthly pay run from People Planner software and posting to Sage.
Maintenance of the SAGE Financial Management System including nominal, sales and purchase ledgers and reconciliation of all bank and control accounts.
Control of all treasury and banking functions including monthly bank reconciliations on a timely basis.
Ensuring all data is entered to Sage to help with the preparation of regular management accounting reports to the Chief Officer and the Board of Trustees by the 3rd week of the following month.
Liaison with the organisation’s external auditors in the preparation of the annual Statutory Accounts.
To participate in any relevant training for the duties of this post and to achieve the key objectives of the Council.
To carry out any other related duties as may be directed from time to time by the Chief Officer.
