FNH UK provides solutions for weapon design, production and mounting requirements for Infantry, AFV, and Naval platforms.
FNH UK originally traded as Manroy Engineering Limited which was formed in 1975 to support the spares requirements of the British Army.
Since July 2014 it has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belgium-based small arms manufacturer FN Herstal, S.A., in September 2017 the Company changed its name to FNH UK becoming more embedding into the Herstal Group of Companies.
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance Team, we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring a fresh dynamic approach to the business.
As the Finance Manager you will manage the day to day operations of the Finance team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for:
Month end reconciliation
- Full monthly reconciliation of Sage and the ERP System including full balance sheet reconciliations
Internal Reporting – Company & Group
- Prepare and develop the monthly internal finance reports for the UK Board of Directors
- Prepare and develop the monthly finance reports for the Group Board of Directors
- Prepare and develop monthly budget analysis reports for cost centres and projects
External Reporting - Company & Group
- Prepare the annual year end reconciliations
- Point of contact for yearend external audit process
- Prepare annual Statutory reports
- Prepare annual Corporation Tax Returns
Accounts Production
- Accounts Production – analysis and variance reporting
Management & Development of Finance Department
- Management of Finance Department including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Nominal Ledger
Treasury
- Cash Flow Management and Reporting
- Banking Administration
- LOC Management
Payroll Management
- Management of Monthly Payroll preparation and submission
Compliance
- VAT returns, EC Sales Intrastat and other compliance.
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:
- Qualified Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience working in an accounting environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience of managing individuals
- Possess a very good understanding of Excel
- Possess a good understanding of Word, SAGE and e-mail
- Experience of dealing with clients at all levels
- Ability to manage & prioritise an extensive workload
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
- A team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn
- Outgoing and confident personality who is able to operate at all levels
- A self-starter who is pro-active and can set and achieve goals
- Good standard of education
- Strong organisational & time management skills
- Ability to recognise potential risks to the Company that should be escalated
