We are looking for a Service Manager to join our teams in Margate to manage the staff in one supported living service made up of three individual flats and one residential care service supporting up to 5 adults with a degree of autism, complex needs and some behaviours that challenge.

In this role you will motivate and inspire your team of around 20 across two services to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching, and leadership by example. Acting as a role model and leader in the full delivery of active support, you will empower the people we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. You will be responsible for staff appraisals, rotas, support plans, managing budgets, and monthly reports as well as ensuring all aspects of the service is in line with CQC regulations.

2 years' experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager is essential and the successful candidate will be required to be registered with CQC.

Our services operate 24/7, 365 days a year and shift patterns will include early mornings, late evenings, waking nights and sleep-ins and you must be flexible to cover the rota at the service, on average 3 shifts per week, as well as on call duties.

Due to the nature of this role and occasional travel to our South East office in Kent it is desirable that successful applicants hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own car.

Skills and Experience

* Be a social care professional who is person centred with experience in working with people with learning disabilities and complex needs
* Experience managing registered or supported living services
* Strong commitment to positive behaviour and active support
* Knowledge and a good understanding of current CQC/sector regulations and legislation
* Share our values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Person Centred, Passion and Responsibility
* Ideally hold a Level 5 diploma in Health & Social Care or have a willingness to work towards this
* Be flexible to work across 5 days on mornings, days, lates and weekends and be a part of an on call rota
