HR Team Leader

Location: Tunbridge Wells

Monday- Friday 9am-5pm

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000

Overview:

To manage the HR Support Team and oversee the successful provision of professional business administration and support on a range of HR issues and policies as agreed with the Group Head of HR



Responsibilities:

* To manage the provision of all aspects of the HR Support team
* To monitor and develop the team and its SLAs within the department's overall requirements of being swift, accurate, professional and friendly
* To oversee the provision of first line support for management with regard to advice on HR policies and current legislation (and to acknowledge where it is necessary to forward a matter for the attention of the HR Business Partnering team)
* Working with team to monitor and manage HR data including the sickness absence process and staff turnover, including preparation of reports for managers
* To oversee the effective and accurate communication with the payroll team
* To manage the accurate and timely maintenance of automated / manual information systems
* To prepare required documentation / reports for the business in line with current legislation
* To be a role model for team members and coach and develop individuals to ensure they reach their maximum potential
* To monitor and evaluate the performance levels within the team with a view to identifying ways of improving
* To develop and monitor Standard Operating Procedures to ensure high quality and consistent service delivery
* To plan resource needs and manage workload distribution, allocation of tasks and monitor service levels
* To undertake ad-hoc projects as designated by the Group Head of HR including gathering and processing year end pay and bonus reviews, and the production of business reports

Experience:

* Strong HR technical knowledge
* Speed and Accuracy
* Management experience of a team Essential - Ideally HR
* Database management
* Experience of HR systems and processes
* Working in a confidential environment

* Numerate and IT literate
* Excellent communicator both written and verbal
