My client is looking to recruit an HR Manager to be responsible for providing a strategic and operational HR service to business leaders across the group. 

The role would suit someone who has previously worked in an environment where you have delivered improvements and changes to working practices that optimise both the business performance and the HR effectiveness.

Main duties of the role:

- Effectively carry out workforce planning ensuring that the business plan for future staff numbers and considers the type of skills needed in the future.
- Manage the administration of current human resource policies, programs and practices throughout the site in order to support management planning and develop strategic initiatives.
- Advising on appropriate organisational structures and ensuring the right people are in the right jobs at the right time.
- Change management - to effectively manage change projects (reorganisation, redundancy, re-structuring, system implementations) ensuring legal compliance, best practice and business requirements.
- Management support and development
- Disciplinary and Grievance handling
- Provide operational support and advice to Directors/Managers on employee issues such as performance management, disciplinary & grievance and absence, compensation and reward according to performance.

CIPD level 5 is the minimum qualification requirement for the role .  You`ll naturally have the gravitas to challenge and advise senior managers on best practice.  You`ll have first class communication skills, with a pragmatic, commercial outlook on how good people practices can have a positive effect on all areas of the business.  Although broadly an operational, hands on role, the senior leadership team have a number of strategic projects planned and so there is the opportunity here to influence the overall business direction of the organisation.  Regional travel to sites is required with this role.
