A continually expanding manufacturing outfit with HQ based on the outskirts of Maidstone are looking to supplement their growth with the timely appointment of a Mechanical Engineer.

The business are not resting on their laurels in 2019 and are looking to grow their market share by introducing a Mechanical Engineer - a true engineering role that will see you touch upon all areas of the business; from design, through to process engineering.

The post holder will:

* Managing end to end design projects;
* Design 3D models for bespoke magnetic shielding for customers worldwide;
* Client/sales team liaison to identify design requirements;
* Produce detailed engineering/manufacturing drawings with BOMs;
* Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for internal and external use.

The successful applicant will possess a relevant engineering related degree, have tangible experience with a 3D design package (ideally Inventor or SolidWorks), and have demonstrable experience of full life cycle design experience (from concept, through to material selection, design for manufacture, and tweaking designs). A working knowledge of lean manufacturing will be required (possession of a Green or Black Belt would be highly advantageous).

The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with the ability to work closely with internal departments effectively in order to achieve shared and common business goals. Able to work effectively in a team, but also autonomously - you will possess a strong work ethic and you'll be committed to making a difference to the business.

Owing to the location of the business, it would be advisable (but not essential) that you possess a driving licence and have your own vehicle.
