We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with Construction experience

Inline Design Ltd are a specialist fit out contractor working on Projects in and around London. We specialise in commercial and residential fit outs valuing up to £4,000,000. We work closely with some of the UKs leading Main Contractors


As a Quantity Surveyor you will:

Price/Forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project

Prepare Tender documents, cintracts,budgets,bills of quantities and other documentation

Track changes to the design and construction work and adjust budgets accordingly

Agree the services of subcontractors who work on the project

You will seek to minimise the cost of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality, this includes ensuring statutory building regulations are met. You will prepare estimates and costs of the work and when the project is in progress, you will keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.

Candidates will be responsible but not limited to the following;

Assist in establishing a Client's requirements

Prepare and analyse costings for tenders including materials take off’s and obtaining Sub Contractor quotes

Allocate work to Subcontractors

Costing Instructions and Variations.

Value completed work and issue Monthly Applications.

Dealing with Main Contractor and Client Quantity Surveyors

Assisting in issuing Final Accounts

Maintain awareness of the different Building Contracts in current use


Typical starting salaries range from £40,000 - £45,000

Shift and site allowances are often paid on top of the basic salary.

Working hours vary, generally 8.30am to 5.00pm office based. If you attend meetings on site, your working hours may vary.

The work is office based but also includes site visits, which can take up a whole day.


Candidates will be expected to have gained previous experience preferably 4 plus years working within the Construction Industry. You must hold a current driving license and be willing to travel to sites, in and around London, to assist in and attend commercial meetings


You will need to show:

Strong numeracy and Financial Management skills

Negotiation and team work skills

General Construction knowledge particularly in the Internal Fit Out and Refurbishment sector
