Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd has an urgent requirement for a Compliance manager who has experience of working within an Insurance broker to run the Compliance department of this successful, respected local firm.

As Compliance manager, you will coordinate the implementation and monitoring of FCA standards including communications with the regulator and cascading information throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities will be to assist with the provision of consistent and reliable Compliance advice to the business on a broad range of regulatory matters and to explain the impact of any changes.
You will assist with the identification and assessment of the compliance risks applicable to the business. You will support and maintain the risk registers for the business. Be the first point of contact for sanctions queries arising.

Additional responsibilities include producing sanction checks reports, assist with queries relating to GDPR, deal with licensing and regulatory issues, including liaison with the internal and external parties where necessary and check that all applicable compliance policies and local regulations are covered in compliance induction training.

We are seeking applicants with solid experience in compliance advisory, compliance testing or other risk control functions in the insurance broking industry. You will have excellent communication skills and have strong social and coordination skills, able to engage and work effectively with colleagues across all departments. Self-motivated, independent individuals would suit this role as you will be leading the Compliance department.
