Leading West Malling business is looking for a Management Accountant to join their team. This is a new position owing to the company’s growth that will have responsibility for monthly management accounting activities as well as analysis and Cost Accounting for the full production process.
Duties Include for the Management Accountant:
• Analysis of raw material waste, production, sales quantities
• Preparation and analysis of production costs
• Review process and produce line costs
• Analysing performance and variances of labour costs and efficiency
• Maintaining ERP system
• Market and waste reporting by customer, supplier
• Weekly trading summary
• Turnover/profitability analysis by customer
• Variance analysis
• Calculating month end accruals and prepayments
• Calculating depreciation and maintaining the fixed asset register
• Review and reconciliation of control accounts/balance sheet
• Year-end procedures and submissions
• Preparing KPIs and dashboards
• Support the annual external audit and auditor requests for information
• Ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller as required
You will be:
• Able to demonstrate relevant experience cost accounting experience as well as wider accounting skills gained from within a product/production/FMCG setting
• Ideally formally qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Have excellent communication skills, being able to interact confidently at all levels
• Analytical with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced level Excel to be able to manipulate complex models
