Compliance Officer,

Barker Munro, general insurance recruitment specialists, are currently working with a growing independent insurance business who are on the hunt for a Compliance Officer for their Head Office in Kent.

Compliance is becoming more and more part of daily life in the Insurance Industry and therefore the role of Compliance Officer will be to provide compliance, risk advice and guidance to the company directors and staff, ensuring risk and issues across the business are identified and rectified when required.

As the Compliance Officer, you will be the main point of contact and point of reference and have overall responsibility for ensuring the company is fully compliance in line with FCA regulations.

As a previous compliance professional you will be conscious of the main requirements and responsibilities associated with the role of Compliance Officer, but they will include setting up, monitoring and maintaining adequate and appropriate systems and controls to ensure the company meets its requirements whilst also being able to provide advice and guidance and being up to date with relevant industry standards and regulations.

To be considered for the role of Compliance Officer, you must be able to demonstrate an established and practical compliance background within an FCA regulated environment. General insurance knowledge would be incredible however the client is fully open to the idea that you will have come from another FCA sector such as banking or financial services.
