Our web team of 3-4 engineers work together to build, maintain and support Magento-based ecommerce websites for a number of specialist independent retailers throughout the UK. The role includes deploying new sites, designing & theming those sites for the client, then providing on-going support & advice to the client. You’ll be working individually and within the team using Magento’s CMS, CSS, plugins and PHP to theme sites and update their functionality.

Daily skills:
• Experience building responsive, mobile-first websites, with good-looking user interfaces in HTML/HTML5 and CSS/CSS3.
• Magento layout - XML and Frontend
• Magento 1 and/or 2 backend knowledge (inc. API, modules, extensions)
• PHP
• Expertise in JavaScript, with frameworks and libraries.
• Driving licence and own car
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team


Skills you'll also find useful:
• Bootstrap/3
• SASS/LESS
• Experience in building consumer facing web applications.
• Understanding of the impact and importance of performance in web development.
• GIT source control
• Ionic Framework / Angular 5 (earlier versions of Angular helpful but not ideal)
• Progressive Web Apps / PWA
