Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company is leading a comprehensive project designed to develop and regenerate the harbour and seafront area.
Harbour Operative Opportunity
The roles are for full-time permanent Harbour Operatives to help ensure the harbour, harbour arm and seafront site is welcoming, safe and well maintained ensuring a good experience for residents and visitors.
Reporting to the Harbour Manager, as a Harbour Operative you will be part of a team responsible for
• Inspection of site throughout shift
• Comply with safety policies of the Harbour and the checking of all safety equipment
• Assist with all general maintenance/cleaning tasks (including Fountain)
• Security on site on a 24/7 basis (particularly when harbour arm open to public and silent hours) –training given
• Assist with event management /risk assessment process/hosting/ and clear up
• Be a positive customer focussed representative of the Harbour and Seafront site
This role offers successful operatives the following
Excellent Competitive Salary (c.22k +o/t)
4 on / 4 off rolling rota (inc nights and weekend work)

Ideally you will have knowledge or experience of
• Some exposure to maintenance and/or security in a working environment
• Health & Safety procedure knowledge
• Computer literate with solid IT skills
• Some harbour experience would be beneficial
