Position expectations
• Deliver profitable sales through developing and managing customer relationships across an allocated group of national accounts
General duties to include
• Prepare annual customer plans ahead of each financial year to support deliverance of all budgetary requirements, KPIs and objectives
• Provide robust and accurate annual forecasts for each account
• Negotiate prices and rebates to maximise sales and retained margins
• Actively participate in product development with Brand Marketing for future line plans
• Take personal responsibility to continually exceed the expected level of competency
• Ensure day-to-day issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
• Identify and maximise new opportunities
• Co-ordinate Trade Shows in partnership with the brand marketing department
• Attend conferences, exhibitions and events where required
• Be aware of all new developments in the market place and provide regular/relevant feedback to all internal stakeholders
Specific skills and experience
• Pro-active and enthusiastic self-starter, with demonstrable record of success in the National Account arena
• Excellent communication skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers alike – both in written and verbal formats
• Must have the ability to collate and implement business plans, strategy and tactics
• Willing to act on own initiative and take decisions
• Strong negotiation skills, aligned with commercial acumen
• This role requires UK travel, so job holder will possess a full UK driving license and be prepared to stay away from home when required
