WAKE NIGHT SUPPORT WORKERS (30hrs) – KINGSTON HOUSE, NR CANTERBURY - £8.21 p/h (No experience necessary).
About the Role
We are looking for Waking Night Support Workers to join our friendly Kingston House team based at our service in Kingston, near Canterbury in Kent.
Rated good by CQC, the service is located in Kingston, Canterbury in Kent. Near to public transport, the 17 bus from Canterbury Bus Station takes 20mins and leaves every 30mins before 10.00am and hourly after 10.00am.
Kingston is a care home, with a large country garden accessible to residents, which provides care and support for up to 9 people with Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome, non-weight bearing, dementia, elderly, skin integrity control, full nutritional support, full continence support and peg feeding.
Working 20 hours per week, you will need to be flexible as you are required to work shifts including bank holidays and weekends.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment
• To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and other whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality
• To support service users with the preparation of meals, laundry duties, cleaning and social events
• To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required
• To work as part of a team to provide high quality care

The Successful Candidate for the role will have:
• NVQ in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards
• Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues is preferable but not essential
• The ability to keep calm under pressure
• Confidence to work alone and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• The passion to work with vulnerable Adults
• The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding
