New Business Producer - Commercial Insurance

Location: City of London & in the field.
Salary: Flexible and Negotiable (Basic & Commissions) upon agreeing targets. Our client is fair and realistic and wants to create a package that will incentivise & reward your endeavour & success.
Type: Permanent

The company:
You will be joining a dynamic and multi-faceted insurance group which includes a UK Retail Broker, a Lloyds Broking arm and an Underwriting Agency.
Through these operating companies you will be working with an innovative insurance specialist who can offer clients of all dimensions from a wide range of different industry sectors an array of niche commercial insurance covers at highly competitive premiums.

The role:
This position will sit within the UK retail broking arm and so you will be interacting directly with relevant senior management and risk managers within UK Mid-Market and Corporate businesses. New business prospects will have a premium spend ranging from £5,000 to £100,000 per annum.

This role will have two aspects…

Appointment setters will arrange meetings for you to visit potential new clients.
·Representing, introducing and explaining the company's unique insurance review process in the correct manner in face to face meetings.
·Manage the review process with each prospect using the training provided and carry out the broking within the review process until the sale reaches a conclusion.
·Be able to carry out an audit of covers for each client review and be able to identify and explain any gaps in cover or potential "grey areas" for inclusion in the final New Business Report for each Prospect.
·Due consideration and action is taken on all of the "Win Process" steps whilst conducting The Confidential Review with a prospective client.

·When not out conducting face to face meetings, you will be provided with warm leads and make prospecting outbound calls to potential new clients.
·Manage own Data allocation and Prospect Diary CRM system
·It is expected that a New Business Producer would dial at a rate of 15-18 calls per hour on average. This means that 100 calls per working day (pro rata to your agreed outbound marketing time) need to be achieved as a reasonable minimum.
·A reasonable minimum number of appointments to achieve per calendar month will be 10 fully qualified face to face appointments. This is also to ensure enough opportunity is created to achieve the financial targets agreed and set

Skills & Experience:
Applicants will need to show a proven track record of success within a commercial insurance new business role, which includes client visits. You must also be willing and able to make outbound sales calls and obtain your own appointments.
As with all new business sales role applicants must be vibrant, resilient, determined, resourceful and able to build and manage your own pipeline.
