We are currently looking to recruit a Production Team Leader on the day shift for a rapidly growing fruit packing company based in Teynham.

Working a four on four off shift pattern 7am - 7pm.

Job Purpose:

Lead an effective operation across a small number of production lines within your cell, taking full accountability for employee and operational performance against targets.

Manage and develop employees and workers on your lines to ensure delivery against the Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and People Objectives.

Accountable for the successful operation and manning within the assigned production cell.

Actively seek and recommend continuous improvements, minimise downtime and maximise line performance without compromising on quality.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all operations run effectively and efficiently.
• Ensure that the production is run at the standards and quality requested by the company.
• Maintain and drive all compliance standards across the line.
• Maintain packing traceability and ensure that packing waste is minimised and accurately recorded.
• Ensure the production plan is followed thoroughly, accurate recording of stock and ensure works orders are completed 100% accurately.
• Ensure that accurate recording of: downtime and labour used plus any additional costs, and ensure correct job category is recorded.
• Ensure that the Packhouse is clean and tidy at all times and all health and safety procedures are followed thoroughly.
• Ensure that all employees are inducted accordingly and are given full training to do their roles safely and efficiently.
• Raise any productivity concerns with employees to the Section Manager.

Previous experience as a Team Leader is essential for this position, ideally within produce. You will be computer literate, confident with excellent communication skills. You will need to manage time effectively and efficiently with good attention to detail and be able to multi task.

The role is permanent full-time employment.
