725 Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Machine Operatives for our well established client based in Headcorn.

JOB SUMMARY

• To assist shift manager & supervisor in all aspects of food production within an efficient, continuously improving, production line / area optimises product quality, GMP, customer service, cost and health & safety.
• Specific responsibilities include the effective and efficient operation of production equipment (Filler, Labeller, and RoboQbo, Silverson mixer and Belt Press, UV Machine) to ensure products are produced according to customer specifications within a well-trained team where there is open communications at all levels

SECTION 3 – KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure all products are made to company specification including, temperature, weight, photo standards, CCP, reporting all failures to Team supervisor and/or shift manager.
• Assemble, decanting and blending of quality products to company standards and production plan requirements at all times, reporting any failures.
• Provide information of issues to ensure improvements are captured and implemented.
• Help maintain GMP by keeping work area/line clean and tidy.
• Pasteuriser, Pre-cooler and Computerised control panel
• Ensure all products are processed within the required heating and chilling temperatures.
• Control wastage of all materials used on equipment, reporting any issues to team supervisor and/or shift manager
• Ensure all process machinery/equipment is cleaned to a high standard using a CIP system.
• Promote and help build pride within the work place and team.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, together with a can do attitude.
• Adhere to safe system at work
• Ensure materials are available and equipment is operating properly to deliver the production plan.
• Ensure efficient and effective shift change over, by controlling stock levels, and GMP, and documentation.
• Ensure the area/line/product meet all company and legal requirements with regard to health & safety, environment, GMP, food safety and employment law.
• Ensure the highest standards within the production area to deliver premium quality products to company specification.
• Ensure all HACCP procedures are adhered to at all times, and all CCP`s you are responsible for is within specification.
• Complete all relevant documentation.
• To provide Buddy Training and to mentor newly appointed employees.
• To ensure compliance with product safety, legality, traceability and quality requirements.
• To ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• To ensure compliance with hygiene and housekeeping requirements.
• To work as part of the team to reduce downtime and waste and to improve productivity levels.
• Support trials and attend pre-trial meetings as requested.






General
• Adhere to the company’s Dignity at Work and Equal Opportunities procedure.
• Ensure all contact with customers internal or external is conducted in a professional manner (Encourage an open communication culture between all internal departments).
• Take part in continuous improvement initiatives through production and projects teams.
• Ensure all near miss and accidents are reported to management.
• Required to carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Shift Manager, Team Leader or Skilled Technician


SECTION 4 – KNOLWEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
• Knowledge of working within a food manufacturing role in a factory would be desirable.
• Good knowledge of food/drinks manufacturing processes is desirable.
• Proven track record within food manufacturing environment is desirable.

Qualifications
• Basic Food Hygiene
• Relevant Health and Safety awareness

Skills
• Able to sustain and develop team working and team based problem solving.
• Good level of numerical and analytical ability.
• Good planning and coordinating skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Word and Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with work colleagues.
• Able to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives.

Experience
• 1 years experience within the FMCG industry or manufacturing site.

Other
• Ability to show resilience and a flexible approach.
• Able to work rotating shift pattern.
• Full understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
• Good communication skills with the authority to stop production and place materials on hold if they fail to meet the Company’s quality standards.
