Team Support are looking for Hospital Porters for our client in Gravesend/Dartford for long term on-going work.

If you enjoy dealing with members of the general public and are happy being on your feet walking around all day, then this will be the role for you!

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Helpful and co-operative manner
Able to carry out duties unsupervised
Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting
Happy to work weekends as part of a rolling rota.

Duties of this role include:

Undertake a range of general and ad hoc tasks on a day to day basis to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement
Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas
Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers
Ensure patient comfort and dignity are maintained at all times
Where applicable, assist in supporting patients in and out and of vehicles when arriving or leaving the hospital
Provide help and guidance to patients, relatives and visitors requiring assistance
Undertake as required any miscellaneous ad-hoc portering requests from the departments and wards to ensure the smooth running of the Hospital
This can be a physically demanding role as you are moving heavy equipment

Salary & Benefits:

£8.43ph increasing to £8.83ph after 13 weeks with unsocial hours paid up to £17.39ph

This role requires an enhanced DBS application for the criminal record check unless you already have an online DBS.
