We are currently seeking an Electrical Mate to join our Engineering Team.
You will play an integral part in the function of the Maintenance Services Team, assisting the management team in ensuring that the assets are maintained and repaired effectively, efficiently and to the appropriate standards of safety.
You will be required to carry out all aspects of improvement, maintenance and repair works. This will require a degree of technical knowledge over a wide range of engineering plant, equipment and installations.
In this role you will be required to:
Service, test, diagnose, repair and calibrate electrical and electronic installations, plant and equipment.
Assist in fault finding on complex equipment and implement solutions.
Carry out reactive and planned preventive maintenance in accordance with any written instructions, perform routine repairs and complete report sheets either manually or electronically.
Assist in technical/statutory inspections and report either verbally or in writing, as requested.
Liaise with others in the team regarding plant or equipment failures, identify any recurring faults and suggest practical solutions.
Support with the delivery and operation of plant and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
Trade apprenticeship in the designated discipline to NVQ level 2 and associated C&G or EAL in electrical maintenance.
Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671)
Testing, installation and maintenance of electrical systems in a domestic and commercial environment.
Technical specialist knowledge in a wide range of plant equipment.
