We seek an experienced production operative with working knowledge of cable assembly for our client, this role is temporary to permanent and available due to an increase in work, the client is looking for someone with 2-3 years of similar experience. You will ideally have gained experience in cable manufacturing companies and have familiarity with the IPC experience listed below, this role requires you to follow complex drawings and instructions so a technical assesment will form part of the recruitment process.

Main Responsibilities:


Produce cable assemblies, meeting or exceeding IPC 620 Class 2.

Cutting and wire preparationCrimping (Hand and Automated)Soldering (Hand and Tinning Bath)Housing into connectorsLabellingApply Heat shrinkLacing or BindingPotting
Setting up and use of automated machinery as applicableUse, control and handling of all hand tools.Continuous review of own work to ensure highest standards before completion into QA.Ensuring correct batches are always used and is identifiable throughout the working process.Maintain a clean and safe working environment.Always assist in opportunities for improvement.Report any potential problems, process or material issues as they arise to the production management team.Follow latest issues of production processes.
