Mobile Maintenance Carpenter - Kent

£17.00 - £21.00 per hour * Temporary * Mobile Role

About the Role

Hays Construction & Property is partnering with a leading national Facilities Management company to recruit an experienced and skilled carpenter to work across the Kent region, primarily based in the Maidstone area.

Due to new contract wins and a growing workload, the maintenance team is expanding - making this an excellent opportunity for a capable carpenter seeking consistent work and a varied portfolio of projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mobile Carpenter, you will be responsible for:

* Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs
* Completing planned maintenance across commercial and domestic properties
* Installing and repairing doors, skirting boards, architraves and framework
* Fitting locks, handles, fixtures and general joinery elements
* Basic multi‑trade tasks where required (beneficial but not essential).
* Working to high standards while maintaining strong customer service

You will be travelling between multiple properties across Kent, representing the client professionally at all times.

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should be:

* Friendly, reliable and motivated
* Able to work independently and manage your workload across different sites
* Skilled in carpentry within commercial or domestic buildings
* Professional, customer‑focused and able to problem-solve effectively.

Essential Requirements

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry or time‑served equivalent
* Strong experience in reactive and planned carpentry work
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to work across multiple sites on a mobile basis
* Background working within Facilities Management or maintenance (preferred)
