Role Overview

The firm is seeking a proactive and professional Legal Secretary to support its conveyancing team. This role is ideal for an organised individual with strong administrative and communication skills who wishes to contribute to a busy, client-focused legal practice.



Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage legal documents, correspondence, and reports from handwritten notes or digital dictation.
Maintain accurate file management, including opening, closing, and organising case files.
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including scanning, emailing, faxing, and photocopying.
Prepare trial bundles and other legal documentation as required.
Manage diary appointments, schedule meetings, and ensure efficient time management for the Fee Earner.
Provide administrative support to other team members as needed.
Professionally manage telephone calls and routine client inquiries.
Perform additional administrative duties as required.



Skills & Experience

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word; basic proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint advantageous.
Experience with Practice Management Systems (PMS) is desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.

Well-organised, conscientious, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
Professional appearance with excellent interpersonal skills, including patience and tact.


Qualifications
Good standard of general education, particularly in English.
Numerate and literate, with strong word-processing skills.
Legal secretary training or relevant qualification preferred.
