Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Location: Sussex Region. Office location - Dartford, Kent. (This role offers agile working. You’ll be out in our communities within Sussex or working from home, with 1 day a week at our Dartford office.)

Contract: Fixed term maternity cover for up to 12 months

Are you passionate about supporting communities, truly want to make a difference to people's lives and have experience in dealing with complex tenancy issues? We’re excited to be recruiting a proactive, responsive Tenancy Specialist Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll act as a specialist in areas such as anti-social behaviour (ASB), domestic abuse, and tenancy fraud.

We’re avid supporters of agile working and you’ll be provided with a laptop, tablet and phone to work flexibly between your home, our communities within Sussex (primarily Crawley and Brighton), and our head office in Dartford one day a week for our team day.

What we’re looking for?

You’ll manage complex and sensitive cases, providing excellent service and acting as a key point of contact for residents. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll ensure a consistent and effective approach to tenancy management, helping to improve outcomes and customer satisfaction.

To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of tenancy law, ASB, and domestic abuse legislation. You should have experience handling complex tenancy issues and be confident using both legal and non-legal remedies. Knowledge of court processes and safeguarding practices is essential.

This role requires flexibility, including occasional work outside normal office hours, and access to transport for site visits and court attendance.
