We have an opportunity for you to join our team as Buyer on a Fixed Term basis (maternity cover) for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). You will be an integral part of the team, who are experiencing continued growth and development. Our International Head office is based in Kings Hill, Kent where you will be based part of your time in the office and part of your time working from home
.
What you’ll do

At CAF, every one of us contributes to our impact, and as our Buyer you too will play an integral part in what we do.
You will provide support to the Head of Procurement and Contract Manager with to deliver successful outcomes aligned to procurement policy. In addition to this identify and deliver saving targets. The Buyer will be responsible for running RFQ’s and sourcing tasks in line with the procurement policy. As part of the role the buyer will be responsible for managing number 3 rd. party relationships as part of the service review process.

As a Buyer you will:
• Assist with the selection and negotiating of new and existing supplier contracts,
• Ensure the timely raising of purchase orders in line with the procurement policy
• Assist the Contracts Manager to ensure the timely renewal of contracts.
• Carry out on-going due diligence of key supplier to manage risk and support out regulatory requirements
• General Administration, and proactive answering emails and other ad hoc duties.
• Liaising with approved suppliers and running service reviews
• Accountable for documentation in relation regulatory requirements ensuring that they are fully maintained
• Provide assistance to other departments in relation to procurement matters

Who you’ll be

This role is for you if you have experience of working in Procurement or have relevant transferable skills and are keen to make a difference to society. We are looking for:

• 2 years’ experience of working within a procurement environment (essential)
• Good working knowledge sourcing and purchase to pay process
• Analytical, high level of attention to detail
• CIPS qualification or working towards qualification (preferable)
• Confident use of MS Outlook
• Ability to communicate concisely and confidently with external suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Ability to effectively prioritize and work to strict deadlines
• Excellent relationship building skills both internally and externally
