Your new organisation
Intrinsic Care provides quality care, support, and housing services to help service users gain the life skills they require to build fundamental needs they aspire for independent living. Intrinsic caters for individuals with all needs including mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, substance misuse or those detained under the mental health act.
You will be working in the Supported Living services that are provided across the Medway area. Individuals have been referred via Local Authorities and community Mental health Services. The properties provide 24/7 day to day supported living.

Your new role
As a Recovery Support Worker, you will have a significant role in providing high-quality care and support to service users. Your responsibilities include:

* Administering medication in accordance with the service user's care plan and following our e-mar chart system.
* Encouraging and prompting service users to perform domestic tasks, aligning with their preferences, care planning and daily schedules.
* Prompting and encouraging service users to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene.
* Ensuring cleanliness of service user\'s rooms and communal areas.
* Monitoring the welfare of service users and providing emotional support when needed.
* Escalating any changes in preferences, needs and presentations using the right channel of escalation.
* Encouraging service users to engage in a variety of social activities both within and outside their homes.
* Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families, enhancing their experience at the service.
* Working contractual hours, following a rota that covers daytime, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays based on service needs and requirements.
* Teaching essential life skills, including shopping, and using public transport based on the service user's learning outcomes and needs.

What you\'ll need to succeed

* A minimum of 1 years' experience working in care within the last 2 years
* A valid driver\'s license and the ability to drive.
* Experience supporting vulnerable people with learning disabilities, mental health or those suffering from substance misuse.
* Knowledge of adult safeguarding
