Key Responsibilities: As an Engineering Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of aspiring Apprentice Engineers. Here are the core attributes of the role:
* Support and Guidance: Provide expert advice and guidance to learners, ensuring they fully understand assessment criteria and learning content.
* Enrolment and Assessment: Handle enrolment paperwork, initial assessments, and diagnostics to kick-start learners' educational journey.
* Training and Support: Take full responsibility for training, tracking, monitoring, and supporting learners in achieving their qualifications. Identify and address any issues with learner progress.
* Functional Skills: Support and train learners in achieving functional skills in mathematics and English, where applicable.
* Assessment Support: Offer assessment support for learners through reviews, online sessions, and other forms of communication.
* Programme Development: Assist in developing program materials in alignment with qualifications issued by Awarding Bodies or employer requirements.
* Progress Reporting: Regularly report on learner progress, prepare progress reports, and create action plans as needed.
* Quality Assurance: Act as an Internal Quality Assurer when required and respond to External Quality Assurance requests.
* Continual Development: Embrace the opportunity for continual self and team development, setting an example for growth.
Person Specification: To excel in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Skills: Excellent communication skills, administrative and organisational skills, motivation, and competency in IT and ILT.
* Experience: A proven track record of achieving improvement targets, at least 2 years of relevant sector experience, experience in lecturing/training/teaching, and familiarity with qualification frameworks.
* Education: Maths, English and IT Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE grade C / 4 or above), appropriate professional qualification (minimum level 3), Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or PGCE, and Assessor/Verifier Awards.
