Application Form

Event Producer

Per annum

Chatham, Kent

Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust

If you’re a seasoned events professional who would relish in the challenge of running large scale events against a backdrop of 400 years of maritime history, we have just the opportunity for you.
The former Royal Dockyard at Chatham has a long history of hosting prestigious, high-profile events, from Battle of Medway commemorations and national Armed Forces Days to Navy Days and Royal visits. Today’s Historic Dockyard still provides an iconic backdrop to a range of exciting events and activities every year.
2024 is a special year in Chatham’s story; commemorating the devastating closure of the Dockyard in 1984 whilst also celebrating 40 years since the formation Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, the custodians of the Historic Dockyard. The 40th anniversary programme, Dockyard40, will mark this anniversary with high quality and unique experiences, delivering compelling reasons to visit The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
We are seeking a creative and commercially focused Event Producer to help develop, implement and project manage a busy calendar of exciting events and experiences. The successful candidate will coordinate two established major events whilst supporting and contributing to the wider creative development and management of a programme of activity aligning with Dockyard40.
This role is a fixed term position which requires an organised and entrepreneurial individual who has experience in producing major events, from creative concept and feasibility through to operational project management and delivery.
