RSK Response is a business unit within the RSK Group that specialises in the provision of 24/7 environmental incident response services. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Spills Technician to join our growing team in Uckfield, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

Development and adherence to specific and point of work health & safety risk assessments
Rapid response to environmental incidents in a variety of urban and rural settings
Pro-active assessment of pollution risks to the environment
Application of a variety of in-situ techniques for containing and recovering oils or other contaminants of concern
Environmental monitoring and sampling activities
Self-confident liaison with client and co-contractors in determining a most appropriate technical response to environmental incidents
Liaison with technical and managerial support regarding all incidents
Effective report writing
Waste management and Duty of Care
Inspection and maintenance of oil storage areas
Decontamination/Deep Cleaning
Working safely within electrical substations
Additional information:

We are environmental incident response, therefore are available 24/7 for our clients, as such you will be required to work on an “on call” rota, for which you are compensated.
Incident response training is provided and other training and development opportunities will be available.
Qualification and Experience:

A full, clean driving license
Must be adaptable
Strong focus on safety
Salary and Benefits:

£24,960 basic salary plus overtime and standby payments with an OTE of £28,000+
