My client is an established Firm of Accountants based in Canterbury. They are looking for an experienced Accounts & Audit Assistant Manager to join their Firm. They are looking for someone to work within their team who provides their clients with an excellent service. Working with predominately owner managed businesses, charities, and academies across a wide range of sectors. This is a varied role that will be responsible for managing your own portfolio and providing support to the Partners and work as a part of the management team, providing accounts and audit solutions and processes, managing junior members of staff, preparation of statutory accounts, and controlling budgets.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

-Audit preparation and review
-Proactive planning and management of audits and client work.
-Tax preparation both corporate and personal
-Review and prepare the financial accounts and advice for more complex clients
-Reviewing and managing junior staff`s work whilst maximising staff utilisation
-Work planning, mentoring and supporting the team, getting involved in training, reviews, authorising holidays, recruitment etc, and general day to day supervisory issues
-Manage a varied client portfolio, and become part of the management team
-You will require good technical understanding of UK ISA`s and FRS 102 to assist you with both audit and accounts reviews
-Communicate with and manage client relationships effectively.
-Financial reporting and management of budgets
-Business development and marketing
-ITC literate and competent user
