Role: Data Analyst
Location: Birmingham - Fully Office Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 per week

Our client, a leading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for a Data Analyst for their site in Birmingham on a full time, permanent basis.

As the on site Data Analyst, your role is to manage the plant level systems and provide support for data integration between them and central systems. During production maintenance windows, the data analyst will work directly with infrastructure engineers to upgrade or patch applications and operating systems against vulnerabilities.

Duties include:
- Ensure systems are implemented and continue to adhere to the Company Security Policies.
- Escalate issues to other support teams, suppliers, and management where appropriate.
- Provide support and cover to the user support engineers.
- Data Historian Maintenance including tag creation using various OPC collectors and more.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety policy taking responsibility for themselves and others.

What we are looking for:
- An awareness of all risks associated with the Service Desk.
- SQL maintenance experience (backups and reporting services)
- Active Directory, specifically editing Group Policy Objects (GPO) to harden servers.
- Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies.
- Previous experience using SAP is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in working within an ITIL based environment in particular Incident and Problem management disciplines.
- Experience with Microsoft Server technologies.
- Degree level preferred.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good Customer Service Skills.
