We specialise in PVC Roofline, Rainwater, Soil & Waste, Underground Drainage and Hot & Cold Plumbing Systems which we manufacture ourselves and supply directly to Builders and Plumbers Merchants; including B&Q, Screwfix, Selco and Travis Perkins. We have a rare opportunity within our Quality team as we have a vacancy for a Quality Inspector. The Quality Inspector is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager and the QC Shift Co-ordinators in maintaining the Company’s Quality System and monitoring product quality within our manufacturing process. This is a full time position (40 hours per week) based upon a three-shift rotating working pattern to ensure that the production shifts always have a QC Inspector available. The shifts are as follows:
7am to 3pm
3pm to 11pm
11pm to 7am

Applicants must have a willingness to learn, be able to work with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, be capable of working as part of a team and/or on own initiative and have good written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Full training will be given for the right candidate.

Hourly rate of £12.67 increasing to £12.95 following successful completion of a 6-month probationary period.


The responsibilities and main duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

• To undertake and record production inspection in the manufacturing unit to maintain the Company’s product quality. This includes start-
ups, in process inspection and last offs in accordance with ISO9001 procedures.
• To monitor and check products being assembled and bar coded on the Company’s automatic assembly machines as well as manually.
• To undertake perpetual stock checks of product leaving production for the stores.
• To collect and report production scrap on a shift basis.
• To assist in the Goods Inwards activities and provide cover if and when necessary.
• To assist with the inspection of export orders prior to despatch.
• To undertake testing of products as and when required for production, for batch release of bought in products and when assisting the
Quality Manager in the development of new products.
• To assist in maintaining the Company’s Product Specification Sheets within the Company Business System.
