Financial Controller

On behalf of our client, Goldhawk Associates is actively searching for a dedicated and proficient Financial Controller. This individual will play a crucial role in orchestrating the financial trajectory of the company, ensuring precision and compliance at every step.

Your Role:

- Direct reporting to the Finance Director, ensuring all financial and accounting activities are communicated accurately and promptly.
- Supervise the financial department, ensuring robust recording, filing, and reporting of all transactions.
- Streamline business processes and accounting policies, fortifying internal controls.
- Diligently inspect financial reports, establishing systems to ensure accuracy in data collection and computations.
- Instigate financial reporting systems in adherence with UK regulations and legislation.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Collaborate closely with payroll, guaranteeing full compliance with UK payroll laws.
- Prepare all financial statements in line with Statutory Audit Standards.
- Champion all matters related to HMRC tax compliance.

Your Credentials:

- ACCA or ACA qualification.
- Demonstrable leadership and management capabilities.
- Resilient under pressure and skilled at working within stringent deadlines.
- An analytical mindset, paired with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate a diverse business landscape.
- Mastery of Excel and adeptness with accounting software.
- Solid organisational acumen and a proven track record in systems implementation.
