Personnel Selection

The position of administrator will be key to ensuring an efficient and highly professional administrative service to colleagues throughout the business. The position has a strong leaning towards supporting the sales and project management departments within the business and working closely with the Managing Director.

Your key responsibilities will be but not limited to:

Supporting the sales and production departments with administration tasks

Obtaining quotes from subcontractors and suppliers

Issuing purchase orders

Supporting sales in the administration of quotations

Logging all customer sales queries

Purchasing of consumables and services for the business

Communicating with suppliers both verbally and written to support the projects and chase orders.

Inputting customer orders onto the MRP production software

Communicating with customers in a professional manner both verbally and written. Being at all times driven by the needs of the customer and supplier.

Dealing with telephone calls, ensuring messages are passed on and that callers have a very positive impression of the business.

Keeping the directors and managers informed of any ongoing matters and supporting them with any administrative tasks as required.

The person specification 

Experience of performing high level business administration and coordinator in a manufacturing/ construction or industrial industry.

Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint to advanced user standard.

An efficient office administrator or coordinator with recent experience in supporting the purchasing process and familiar with MRP systems.

Competent using MRP/ ERP production software.

Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally and have experience of communicating with suppliers and customers

Proficient using Powerpoint, Excel and WORD 

Experience of purchasing for a business and office administration would be beneficial. 

Must be an excellent multi-tasker who enjoys working in a face paced environment

Educated to GCSE grade C level or above in Maths and English, and with certification in purchasing (CIPS level 2) preferred.
