Chef de Partie

£26,348 Depending on experience (banding system in place to determine outcome), Brighton (outskirts - transport required), Permanent, 8:30am - 5pm, 5 out of 7 days a week (alternative weekends). Flex up in summer months and down in winter months.



The Role: We are excited to be working with our wonderful client in their search for a new Chef de Partie to join their friendly team. This is an ideal role for an individual with previous experience in a similar position, who has a passion for good quality food! This is a vital role is assisting the Head Chef responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

* Prepare, cook and serve meals to a high standard
* Preparation of various menus, promoting healthy eating and supporting local rural business by using local seasonal produce
* Keep food wastage to a minimum by cooking only the appropriate number of meals and carrying out strict portion control
* Ensure all stock is stored appropriately and stock rotation procedures are followed
* Provide cover for functions as required



The Person: City & Guilds 701 & 702 Qualification or equivalent is essential, as is previous experience in a similar position. You will need creative ability and flair using fresh seasonal produce. This role requires flexibilty towards working hours and seasonal demand in summer. A current Food Hygiene Certificate is also essential.



The Company: You will be joining a relatively new kitchen in the Brighton area which focuses on fresh and seasonal produce, inline with local food trends, and with emphasis on reducing food wastage and sourcing local ingredients.

- £26,348 p/a

- 8:30am - 5pm, 5 out of 7 days a week (alternative weekends), Flex up in summer months and down in winter months. Kitchen closes at 5pm most days so no late shifts required unless for an event or private function.
