This job is for a Steel Erector to work in Gatwick Airport on a new build construction sites - ongoing basis

Your new company
You will be working for a steel contractor that has been awarded a contract to construct an extension to the existing arrivals terminal as part of a large complex building project for Gatwick Airport Limited

Your new role
This assignment starts in 2023 and you will be erecting pre-fabricated steel columns, steel beams and secondary items. The lifting plan will involve a Roto Tele-handlers, you will be working in a live airport environment.

What you'll need to succeed You will have a blue CSCS card for a Steel Erector (NVQ Level 2 Steel Erecting) & IPAF. You will also need photo ID, proof of NI, proof of address, a clean criminal record and pass a reference check from a previous steel erecting company. You will be working within a very compact area and as such must have the ability to follow lift plans closely and ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times.

What you'll get in return
You attend a formal Gatwick Induction and be issued a Hays airport pass and paid £19.02 (PAYE) or £25 under PDC CIS working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. There is currently no weekend overtime set in the programme, but this could be subject to change. There is no provision for travel or accommodation to be paid to Hays workers.
