Packing Operative



Core details: Temporary role on the outskirts of Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, £10 - £11 per hour DOE, 29 days holiday increasing with service, Christmas shutdown, Uniform provided and profit share bonus scheme.

The role: We are currently working with a very well-established business within the Pump industry who are seeking a temporary packing operative to assist the team in an ongoing capacity. This role would equally suit an experienced Warehouse or Factory operative or someone handy that is comfortable with heavy lifting, and can use power tools.

This will be a varied role which will see the jobholder building packing crates and packing outgoing orders as well as sealing and labelling crates for delivery. You will also need to operate a lathe to cut out diaphragms and assist in other areas including sandblasting, conduct deburring, assist with locating stock/parts, assembling products and general housekeeping.

Key skills required: You must be a keen and eager individual, willing to learn and aid your colleagues in any area necessary. This role requires good common sense and a strong practical ability. You will need good dexterity and be highly flexible towards your duties. The role isn't accessible by public transport, so you will need to drive or be a keen cyclist.

The Package:

* Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm / 30 minutes unpaid break
* £10 - £11 per hour based on experience
* 20 days holiday + birthday off + bank holiday. Allowance increases with service.
