This forward thinking Public Sector organisation with premises in Brighton are seeking a talented Test Analyst to join their Information Services Team within the Technology operation.

Your new role

You will be working with the Business Systems and Project Management Teams along with other colleagues across the organisation to plan and conduct testing of new and existing applications.

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and thorough with a keen eye for detail. You will be collaborating with staff across the organisation to ensure successful implementations of complex systems. This will include planning in the early stages of procuring new applications as well as organising and conducting User Acceptance Testing. You will also be involved in more routine testing of updates to existing applications and developing their existing testing plans and documentation.


What you'll need to succeed

- A professional understanding of test practices, procedures, methods and processes
- Professional qualification in testing (e.g. ISTQB) or relevant professional experience.
· Knowledge of manual and automated testing and the benefits that these can deliver.
· A strong knowledge of software development lifecycles.
· Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and technologies.
· Business knowledge and an understanding of project management techniques.
· Able to design and execute test cases using standard testing techniques. Able to develop different business scenarios, working with stakeholders.
· Ability to coordinate user acceptance testing, coaching and advising the user community on approach and processes.
· An understanding of testing best practice.
· An understanding of testing tools and automation
