Our client who specialise in education is seeking an Information Security Manager, to support the development, implementation ongoing monitoring, and reviews of a comprehensive information security programme. The role will require an ability to manage staff effectively, including conducting annual reviews, training, and inducting new members of their team, together with an ability to motivate others and act as a role model. The role will require a basic DBS criminal records check (Disclosure & Barring Service.

About the role

* Developing and maintaining Information Security policies, procedures, and documentation ensuring the appropriate governance practices are in place while enhancing the cyber risk management
* Engage with leaders and effect change and accountability regarding information security and promote a high level of consciousness regarding cyber risk through education, awareness, and support
* Produce performance reports on Information Security matters to senior management and stakeholders
* Overseeing the development and implementation of Cyber-security awareness/training programme
* Interacting with the public, clients, and business partners concerning Information Security

About you

* Experience in Information Security management
* Experience in undertaking Information Security Risk assessments
* Working knowledge of and experience in the policy and regulatory environment of information security
* Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in teams and facilitate change
* Verbal and written communication skills to be able to explain highly technical information to non-technical audiences and deliver presentations in a clear and actionable manner
