Systems Team Lead

Systems Team Lead. £56k. Rochester. Hybrid and Flexible working. My client, a global defence company based in Rochester, are looking for a Systems Team Lead with proven experience developing and delivering systems in relevant product markets, to join an exciting and expanding team. As a Systems Team Lead with proven experience developing and delivering systems in relevant product markets, you will be enabling the development and supply of products across a diverse mix of commercial and military platforms; Head Up and Head Worn Displays, Safety Critical Pilot Control and Flight Control Systems. This is an exciting senior level position that will provide you with a challenging role whilst allowing you to develop your skills, learning from the experienced engineers around you.



As a Systems Team Lead, your role will involve:

* Inspiring, guiding, and coaching engineers in development of new and enhanced products. Steering new and improved systems development through implementation whilst making use of best practice systems lifecycle processes alongside techniques such as Learn First and Agile.
* Providing a role model to others with clear technical and strategic guidance, empowering and nurturing talent in other engineers. Ensuring that our teams reliably and consistently deliver beneficial and outstanding results.

This role would suit someone who is passionate about Engineering, particularly with a Systems Engineering bias. Someone who has leadership and management experience within this field and can provide technical advice to both team members and customers.

Your skills and qualifications

Required:

* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant Scientific/Engineering subject (e.g. Engineering, Physics or Mathematics)
* Proven experience developing and delivering systems in relevant product markets and/or domains, such as one or more of the following; control systems, real time displays, safety related systems, or systems containing multiple technical disciplines.
* Proven experience in systems engineering may include one or more of the following; requirements management, design or safety analyses, modelling, simulation



Desired



* Experience using tools such as DOORS, Siemens Polarion, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Simulink and design methodologies such as SysML and Model Based Systems Engineering is desirable.
* Customer and/or supplier liaison experience for technical aspects is desirable



As a Systems Team Lead with proven experience developing and delivering systems in relevant product markets, you will earn a starting salary of £56k and will be entitled to a range of excellent benefits, as well as huge career growth and training opportunities.
