This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) as a senior researcher, an integral role in CAF’s Research & Marketing team.

You will be managing and supporting on a number of quantitative research projects, from drafting our flagship World Giving Index and UK Giving reports, to helping us understand our customers better.

Your work will have high visibility within the organisation, and throughout the charity sector and beyond, with the opportunity to see your work in the media across the world. Recent reports have featured on Sky News, BBC television, local radio, sector podcasts, and national print media.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of quantitative research gained at either an agency or client-side, and have the ability and drive to work on research that benefits our organisation and the wider charitable sector. Experience of best-practice research and the drive to deliver results is more important than experience of working within the charity sector. An interest in online qualitative research and customer communities is desirable.

The role will be a hybrid of home and office working, with at least two days in the office each week. Our International Head office is based in Kingshill, Kent, but there will also be opportunities to work in our central London office.

You will join us on a full time basis working Monday to Friday, 35 hours a week. Working hours are 9am to 5pm with an hour for lunch but flexibility is available.

As our Senior Researcher your key responsibilities will include:
• Project manage a number of planned and ad hoc research projects with oversight from the Research Manager or Head of Research & Marketing.
• Analyse survey results, distilling data into key findings and visualising them effectively.
• Input into the design and implementation of customer research, supported by your broad knowledge of consumers and research techniques.
• Advise on project design, questionnaire development, and analysis.
• Present / disseminate research results to a variety of stakeholder audiences, including CAF senior management.
• Draft reports and articles for publication, working closely with colleagues in the Media team.

Skills required of our Senior Researcher:
• Agency / private sector experience in quantitative research.
• Report writing and data visualisation skills.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Questionnaire writing and survey design skills.
• An understanding of sampling techniques.
• Qualitative interviewing skills are desirable, particularly for online qualitative research.
