A well known private organisation has offices in Horsham and is seeking an Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support the Technology operations.

Your new role

This role combines elements of both technical and operational roles.
You will have a significant impact on how the infrastructure is maintained, supported, designed, and scaled to accommodate future business development.

You will be involved in:

* Providing and managing comprehensive infrastructure solutions in a cloud environment.
* Increasing the efficiency of infrastructure operations by making better use of monitoring, cloud configuration, and scripting best practices.
* Collaborate with data experts and outside teams to set up, run, and maintain infrastructure.
* Implement cloud governance, build, deployment, and monitoring standards in close collaboration with the information security and compliance teams.
* Managing and integrating third party SaaS solutions into core infrastructure.
* Specify and record the best methods and tactics for deploying applications and maintaining infrastructure.
* Investigate occurrences, pinpoint the underlying cause, address and record issues, and put preventative measures in place.
* Inform teams on how to adopt new cloud-based projects, offering relevant training when needed.
* Use your extraordinary problem-solving abilities to identify problems and find solutions before they have an impact on business productivity.

What you'll need to succeed It is essential that the post holder has/is:

* At least 2 years' worth of technical infrastructure experience in the insurance industry or a comparable commercial setting.
* Fundamental operational knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
* Any extra Amazon Web Services knowledge is desirable.
* Comprehensive understanding of networking infrastructure and communications.
* Power Automate, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Power Shell Scripting
* Understanding of web services, API, and REST.
* Cost-cutting and infrastructure optimisation.


What you'll get in return

The role is available for fully remote working however occasional travel to other offices, clients, and group members' offices for collaborative work may be necessary
