What our client is looking for

Our client is a leading tech company that has featured on The Sunday Times Sage Tech Track 100 multiple times.
Headquartered in Brighton, our client also has operations in Brooklyn, New York and Berlin, Germany. They are now looking for an experienced, resourceful Product Owner to join our growing team. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of our products, helping to deliver an exciting roadmap of innovative initiatives. Working with the rest of the product & engineering team, you will be responsible for driving and defining the launch of new features, services and products for our customers and internal users.

You should have a solid grasp of strategy, sprint management, release planning, Agile methodologies and analytics in order to deliver high-quality product features to meet customer needs and deliver business value. This position is based in the Brighton office for 2 days per week, with the rest of the time spent working remotely.

About you
Our client is looking for a skilled Product Owner to join their team and lead the development of the global ecommerce payments and tax infrastructure, driving the future growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have a background working in fintech or a demonstrable understanding of Finance business processes. You'll be responsible for driving the product vision and strategy, and ensuring that our clients payments and tax infrastructure meets the needs of our global customers and stakeholders.

You'll be a key member of the team, working closely with cross-functional teams to define and prioritise product features, and leading the product development process from ideation to launch. You will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to the table, and be able to communicate complex requirements effectively with the team. With your strategic thinking and leadership skills, you'll be able to guide the team to build a robust and scalable infrastructure that will enable our client to expand its reach and impact in the global market.

Skills you'll need


* Ability to work very closely with key stakeholders to manage and shape their product needs
* Ability to translate high-level requirements into epics and user stories with appropriate level of acceptance criteria and test scenarios
* Demonstrate a passion for understanding and championing the business, customer and user needs.
* Very comfortable working closely with developers and test automation engineers, being available to answer questions and provide clarity whenever necessary
* Management and maintenance of the product backlog
* Confidence in leading sprint review meetings, demonstrating features and taking feedback from stakeholders
* A strong advocate for customers, internal users and the business for the development team
* Ability to produce and maintain any relevant product definition documentation
* You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with accuracy and clarity.
* Ability to collaborate with marketing, design and UX to design solutions.
