Our client are seeking an Audit Manager, with 2 to 3 years of experience. Experience in preparing accounts for companies, partnerships, and sole traders, along with audit experience. You will be working in a small team, overseeing trainees, assistants and working with managers.

About the role

* Meeting with and advising clients on various aspects of their business including tax, bookkeeping, and accountancy matters
* Managing bookkeeping for clients and completion of VAT returns as necessary
* Managing and undertaking audit work including planning, fieldwork, and completion
* Delegate all aspects of work to other staff as required
* Monitoring delegated work and assisting where necessary
* Keeping directors informed of assignments in progress
* Corresponding with clients as required
* Remaining technically up to date through attendance on courses and regular technical reading and ensuring that subordinate staff are trained as required

About you

* To have the sufficient technical knowledge to carry out the main responsibilities above
* To be computer literate and have a detailed understanding of the accounting software used on a daily basis. The main packages used include CCH, My Work Papers (for audit) Excel, Word, Outlook, Quickbooks, Sage, Xero etc
* To be organised and efficient in managing and carrying out tasks required.
