Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Skills and Employability Mentor to join their established and expanding training company based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

About our client

• Our client is a leading provider of funded and commercial training for the logistics, warehousing, and industrial sectors.
• Our client is a provider of the HGV Skills Bootcamp which is hoped to be a solution for the current HGV driver shortage
• They are undergoing and expansion and are looking to grow their busy and friendly team of mentors
• The working environment is very friendly, open, and busy and would suit someone who is looking to work as part of a team, where there is the ability to grow and progress. Many members of our client’s management team have worked their way up internally and so this would suit someone who is looking to develop.

The role entails:

• Taking inbound calls from learners (sign up calls, general enquires, updates, etc.) ensuring that all conversations are recorded and that accurate notes are logged onto the firms CRM system.
• Making a large number of outbound calls to course graduates in order to enquire whether they have found relevant employment with their new licence and or whether they require any support in finding a suitable role
• Making a large number of outbound “cold calls” to prospective employers
• Sourcing prospective employers through market research and contacting them in order to find jobs for bootcamp graduates
• Assisting learners with the booking of training courses and workshops
• Providing mentoring and guidance to learners enrolled on the course, ensuring that all communication is recorded, and notes are updated onto the system.
• Ensuring that all timesheets are correctly completed by learners and that these are submitted by the deadline each week
• Inputting funding data and completing funding claims for training
• Collating all learners’ results
• Assisting learners with the creation of CV’s and providing the learners with support and guidance throughout the recruitment process
• Due to the nature of this role, all duties are subject to change
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience
• Previous experience working in an admin-based role
• Confidence and a willingness to make outbound cold calls to prospective clients
• The ability to follow instruction and suggestions – this role is ever changing and so the ability to adapt is essential
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• The ability to work in a busy and varied working environment
• Being self-motivated to meet and exceed targets and being hungry for a chance of progression
• Excellent organisational skills
• Good attention to detail and the ability to make accurate and concise notes

Salary

• £22,000 salary
• + a bonus which is based on learners gaining relevant employment
• 20 days + 8 bank holidays
• Parking is available
• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 – 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch
